About Judy

JUDY BUTTERFIELD, a recipient of Mabel Mercer Foundation’s prestigious Julie Wilson Award, is one of Cabaret’s fastest rising stars. At a mere twenty one years old, Miss Butterfield has performed concerts across the country, released two CDs, and has appeared in New York at the Rose Theater in Lincoln Center, Town Hall, Feinstein’s at the Leows Regency and the legendary Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel.  Cabaret Scenes declares “…a voice that’s magnificent and pure, along with superb phrasing and an utterly charming manner” while Time Out New York adds “like Maude Maggart before her, the precocious singer has benefited from the mentorship of cabaret grande dame Andrea Marcovicci, whose influence is evident in her remarkable poise and informative patter.”  Ms. Butterfield’s new show “UNDER THE MANHATTAN MOON” combines her youthful take on the Great American Songbook with a narrative exploring her experiences as a young woman newly living in modern day Manhattan in contrast to the love story of her grandparents that took place on the same streets two generations ago.
